About Emilian Mocanu
Profile
I started early, like really early, at 12 years old, in Focsani. Until I began working in the big city, I spent my time developing KVs, logos, and posters for local, national, and international NGOs. In 12th grade, I even helped Nicușor Dan run his first winning campaign.
After that, I worked in several major agencies, handling big ATL projects with the trust and support of my CDs and colleagues. I also took a freelance detour for a little over two years, focusing on some projects I desired. After achieving my goals, I returned to agency life to sharpen my skills and continue building my career.
Experience
In the last 5 years, I’ve worked with top advertising agencies like Headvertising, DDB Romania, and Saatchi & Saatchi Romania — and even collaborated with VML Germany. Alongside my agency work, I’ve been active in the non-profit world, leading standout campaigns like the Vote Observers Recruitment Campaign.
I've also stepped into the public sector, co-leading communications for the Ministry of Education (2023–2024) and contributing to the Ministry of Health’s national vaccination campaign in 2021.
Skills
Can’t pick one struggle. Over the years I’ve been doing illustration, animation, art direction, creative direction even and some strategy. I lead senior creative teams as CD and was part of many more as an Art Director.
